We are seeking an experienced Female Chef with strong expertise in authentic Swahili and Arabic cuisine to join our team for a new hotel opening in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality traditional dishes, maintaining food consistency, and supporting the launch of the hotel’s kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook authentic Swahili and Arabic dishes according to traditional recipes and hotel standards
Assist in menu development for Swahili and Arabic cuisine
Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards at all times
Manage food preparation, portion control, and waste reduction
Coordinate with kitchen staff during daily operations and hotel opening phase
Ensure compliance with hotel policies and local health regulations
Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Swahili and Arabic cuisine
Strong knowledge of traditional Swahili dishes (e.g. biryani, pilau, coconut-based dishes, seafood)
Strong knowledge of Arabic cuisine (e.g. mandi, kabsa, grills, mezze)
Previous experience in hotels or restaurants is highly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment
Good communication skills
Physically fit and able to work long hours if required
Experience in hotel pre-opening or new restaurant setup
Ability to adapt recipes to international hotel standards
